Weekend Receptionist

If you enjoy welcoming and helping others this may be the job for you! We are seeking a part-time employee to serve as our weekend receptionist. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will handle all front desk duties on weekends, including granting access to the building, responding to and redirecting phone calls, and working on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and manage information, handle and prioritize a variety of tasks, and be a self-starter.  They will graciously represent Peace Haven’s values to visitors, other staff, and guests by expressing patience, orderliness, punctuality, dependability, diligence, and flexibility.

Position Requirements Include:        

  • Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and Sundays from noon to 4:00pm 

  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working with technology, including word-processing

  • Able to understand directions, ask questions, and follow-through on assignments

  • Proficient in speaking and reading English

  • Consistent track record of speaking to others using clear, appropriate, and professional language

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to treat others with dignity and respect

  • Exercises sound judgment, professionalism and a positive attitude

  • Is proactive, intuitive and a self-starter; demonstrates initiative

  • Membership in The Mother Church and/or a Journal-listed branch Church of Christ, Scientist

  • High School diploma preferred, but is not required
