Communications Manager

The Communications Manager oversees all field communications for consistency of message and compliance with Peace Haven publication standards.  Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will develop, manage, and deploy print and digital communications, social media, and other creative efforts to engage the larger Peace Haven community.  The ideal candidate will be current in communication technology and trends; be flexible and adaptable—able to shift tactics and strategies as needed to accommodate program changes; have excellent writing and editing skills and experience with copywriting, digital and print promotion, and production of social media campaign content; and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  If you have the ability to work and thrive in a team environment, as well as work independently we would love to hear from you!

Position Requirements Include:        

• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office programs and graphic design programs  

• Proven track record of communication and annual project planning

• Knowledge of donor tracking systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills

• Exhibits resourcefulness, creativity and strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; remain positive, professional, and effective in a faced-paced environment

• Ability to work some weekends and evenings when needed to cover special events

 

Position Qualifications Include:

• Consistent track record of speaking to others using clear, appropriate, and professional language

• Strong organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to treat others with dignity and respect

• Exercises sound judgment, professionalism, and a positive attitude

• Is proactive, intuitive and a self-starter; demonstrates initiative

• Membership in The Mother Church and/or a Journal-listed branch Church of Christ, Scientist

• Is class taught by an authorized teacher of Christian Science

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or at least two years of related work experience
