Activities and Volunteer Coordinator
The Activities and Volunteer Coordinator develops, organizes, and conducts an inspiring, varied, and fresh schedule of group and individual activities for Peace Haven residents and patients. They develop and nurture relationships with residents to discover their interests and talents, coordinate on-site church services, and assist with the “Community of Healers” program and other activities that support the active practice of Christian Science. They may also coordinate and/or conduct individual and group outings, and manage the technical side of digital resident offerings, including Netflix, broadcasts CS lectures, etc.
This position also builds and maintains a robust volunteer program to support Peace Haven residents, staff, and facility, including recruiting, training, and orientation of volunteers.
Position Requirements Include:

Membership in The Mother Church
-
Membership in a Journal-listed branch Church of Christ, Scientist, or a Christian Science Society

Is class taught by an authorized teacher of Christian Science

Holds a Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
Position Qualifications Include:

Meets Mary Baker Eddy’s vision for the Christian Science nurse in their day to day work for Peace Haven as noted on page 395 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “An ill-tempered, complaining, or deceitful person should not be a nurse. The nurse should be cheerful, orderly, punctual, patient, full of faith – receptive to Truth and Love.”
