It’s a wonderful time to support Peace Haven’s progress!

Dear Friends,

For our Christian Science nurses, their day starts by bringing to the forefront of thought those Christ-like nursing qualities that are “cheerful, orderly, punctual, patient, full of faith, — receptive to Truth and Love” (Science and Health 395). The daily embrace of these divine qualities in support of those seeking Christian Science healing is much more than a routine or everyday job, but a healing ministry!

In Peace Haven’s 2019 metaphysical theme—“Our true temple” (Pulpit and Press 2:28) — Mary Baker Eddy asks, “How can we do this Christianly scientific work?” and she answers, “By intrenching ourselves in the knowledge that our true temple is no human fabrication, but the superstructure of Truth, reared on the foundation of Love, and pinnacled in Life.” This Truth not only enfolds our Christian Science nurses’ ministries, but provides the metaphysical foundation requisite for Peace Haven to move forward with its new building project this year.

Our 2019 Spring Appeal has a two-fold embrace of our Christian Science nurses — 1) to value our entire Christian Science nursing staff through increased wages, retirement savings, and benefits; and 2) support of our Christian Science nurses’ training program and needed equipment. It is a wonderful time to embrace Peace Haven’s progress as we ask for your help in raising $40,000 in support of this worthy cause. A generous donor has lovingly provided for a matching gift through May 31, 2019.

We are so deeply grateful not only for your financial support, but more importantly for your continued metaphysical support. This Spring Appeal truly has one purpose—to assist our Christian Science nurses and patients in the atmosphere of love where thought is uplifted to healing. What a wonderful opportunity to cherish our Christian Science community.

With love from all of us at Peace Haven,

Leslie Gerber, Executive Director
