Peace Haven Association was formed in response to the consecrated and
prayerful work of a number of Christian Scientists living in or near St.
Louis who saw the need to provide the comfort and protection of a facility for those temporarily in need of Christian Science nursing care.
The Association was chartered in 1945.
The former Kahle estate was
purchased in 1951, and Peace Haven opened its doors to receive its first
guests in 1952. Since that time, three major additions have been made to
the original house. Accommodations are now available for Christian Science nursing or Rest and Study guests.
